Ground Control Coffee & Wine Bar is exactly what the name implies: a home base for all things delicious in Litchfield Park. Coffeehouse by day, wine bar by night, this café on steroids serves everything from cappuccinos and signature blended drinks like CocoMochaNut to cheese boards and house-made gelato. They’ll even pour a shot of Bailey’s over your favorite gelato flavor for $6.95. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team Tara and Sean, who gained a passion for fine wine, great coffee, delicious food, and world-class beers while living in Europe. After settling in Goodyear, the two wanted to create a place filled with their favorite things. However, what it’s not a central hub for is work or browsing the web – there’s no wi-fi here. Instead, Ground Control encourages patrons to hold community gatherings, hang out with a friend, or at least enjoy a quiet afternoon with a book.
