Since opening in late summer 2010, GP has become sort of a one-stop shop for anyone looking to mingle, eat and drink where Montrose meets the Museum District. Owner Brad Moore and his team of expert, award-winning mixologists are all responsible for the bar's ongoing success. The joint comes with a full bar on each floor, both stocked with all kinds of beverages and an ever-changing custom cocktail list. The jukebox is crammed full of monolithic Houston artists such as ZZ Top, Geto Boys, and Lightnin' Hopkins, plus tried-and-true modern standards from Turbonegro, the Pixies, Prince, and LCD Soundsystem. A recent change in neighborhood politics has taken out the back patio, but the other two patios have taken up the slack. Come hungry, since their kitchen is now fully operational.
