Gotham is gorgeous, its two levels cohered by a chandelier of hand-blown glass and glass-enclosed wine tower flowing through both floors. If possible, aim for a table downstairs - it's more intimate, and diners are privy to an open exhibition kitchen where a confederacy of cooks assiduously works the assembly line of comestibles. The front-of-house staff is equally voluminous, and service is spot on. So are steaks such as a 20-ounce Brandt Farms rib eye, easily two inches thick, grilled over hardwood charcoal, and finished on a 1,200-degree broiler ($52). An eight-ounce American Wagyu filet mignon is well priced at $50, and $28 will lasso you a succulent skirt steak sliced and streaked with Southwestern chili rub; you won't find a better bite of beef for the money. Nor will you easily encounter a fish as tasty as Gotham's Florida grouper, which practically melted into a bed of quinoa grains pooled in sprightly tomato vinaigrette. Service is strong, as is the wine compilation of 500 bottles - from boutique vintners to rare vintages. Located just off the fabulously refurbished Fontainebleau lobby, Gotham has staked its claim as one of the Beach's best steak houses.

Sleek, sexy and chic - one of the nicest steakhouses in Florida. The food is spectacular and service is top-notch.
great! deff on my top 20 restaurants in Miami i just went for Miami Spice Month had the Skirt Steak great taste, delicious with impeccable service i also tried the chocolate bread pudding that comes with a small scoop of ice cream that has rum. the portions aren't huge but with 3 meals you walk out with a full stomach the Cocktail drinks are quite expensive i ended up paying $14 for a pina colada martini with coconut i must say it was really good though
You don't need a celebrated, groundbreaking chef like Alfred Portale to produce a great steak; any seasoned grill cook is capable of such a feat. But it helps that the person behind one of New York City's most iconic restaurants has experience in selecting cuts of quality meats, such as a 20-ounce Brandt Farms rib eye ($52), eight-ounce American Wagyu filet mignon ($50), and Sher Ranch Australian Wagyu strip ($75). And it also helps that he has been around long enough to surmise that not... More »
