It's difficult to call a chain with operations as far flung as New York and Taiwan a microbrewery, but the regular and seasonal batches produced at each location are served only at that restaurant. You can't get much more micro than that. This branch -- one of two Dallas-area Gordon Biersches - is at The Shops at Legacy, and, like its sibling, hosts packed Brewer's Dinners with off-the-menu meals created by the executive chef. The restaurant is such a popular hangout for beer geeks and fans of signature dishes such as American Kobe sliders and garlic fries, jumbo lump crab cake and Southwest eggroll that the wait can be long even during lunch.
The beer is very good and the seasonal beers are always nice and interesting. The food was ok but is way over priced, but with the location in the shops at legacy that's to be expected.
The location should be Plano, not Carrollton. It's in the new Shops at Legacy development. They have pretty good beer and good food. I've been there now several times and the food never disappointed. The service wasn't great the first two times we went right after they launched, but since then they vastly improved.
