Colleen O'Hare & Jeana Johnson created an instantaneous hit with their little shop inside The Green Stop gas station and market in the White Rock area, and now they are making tacos at a new location. The emphasis here is on the local and the creative for those in need of a speedy nosh. While the menu changes daily, favorites include quinoa, house chorizo and many taco mainstays, not to mention other surprises. Best surprise: Most tacos cost less than five bucks.
Rude unhelpful staff with first time visitor, food looked like a 7 year old playing in the kitchen made it. No one in my party would eat the queso on a dare, food was over seasoned and nasty.
Excellent tacos on the go for less than $5 each. An ever changing daily choice of several creative and tasty combos as well as more traditional favorites. Unfortunately, usually only bacon/egg and potato/egg are available before about 10:30am. Now, if only the other varieties were available on my way to work in the morning I'd be completely hooked. Whether you prefer your slaw slathered on a taco or served alongside a burger, the folks behind Good 2 Go Taco and Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House have you covered. These slaws aren't the run-of-the-mill coleslaw typically served around Dallas, often too creamy or too vinegary. Feta slaw is served at Goodfriend, and the chefs (who work at both spots) combine red, white and Napa cabbage with radishes and carrots, and then mix that with a sundried tomato vinaigrette, as well as a... Good 2 Go Taco co-owners Jeana Johnson and Colleen O'Hare once set up shop in a gas station, offering daily specials. After a brief hiatus from serving (spent prepping a new location), the duo opened up the Good 2 Go storefront near the corner of Peavy and Garland Roads in January. They offered a few favorite lunch and breakfast selections along with a BYO breakfast taco option. In May, however, some old favorites from the Green Spot days made it to their rightful permanent places on the... More »
We all know high school kids and grandparents who check Facebook obsessively for FarmVille updates. Why do we do it daily at about 10:30 a.m.? Because we're desperate to see the posted menu photo and find out what Good 2 Go Taco is serving for lunch. The gourmet taco counter, nestled inside The Green Spot and featured on Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate, offers daily specials that generally fall into, but aren't limited to, the categories of cow, bird, pig and veggie. Proprietors... More »
