A cozy and unpretentious local watering hole that's been at this Haight Street location for decades. The latest interior upgrade seems to have taken place in the 1970s: all the Gold Cane needs is a few ferns and some macrame and you'd feel like you're in your parents' old den -- provided your parents had a pool table and a variety of cold beer on tap.
