The lines stretched around the block during the 55-cent special that inaugurated this Japanese curry joint, Go!Go!Curry. All five choices (chicken cutlet, pork cutlet, shrimp, sausage, combo of all four) begin with a perfectly sculpted mountain of rice overwhelmed by a midnight-brown curry gravy that-the menu warns us repeatedly-contains pork. Pork or no pork, the gravy is great, more mellow than spicy. The menu is baseball-themed, with the platters designated Walk, Single, Double, and Triple according to size. You can buy such extra toppings as raw egg, pickled shallots, and the fermented beans called natto. Every time Matsui hits a home run, you get a free topping!
