Glover Gill 

Every Glover Gill song tells a story. Like a good book or movie, it grabs you at the beginning, sinks its hooks into you near the middle and gives you at least one good surprise before coming to an end. And without the vocals or lyrics, either. Quite the scholarly musician, Glover Gill studied applied piano at the University of St. Thomas and UT-Austin, but he didn’t learn everything in classrooms; He's also a self-taught accordionist, arranger and composer whose group Tosca Tango Orchestra has performed in Buenos Aires twice – once in 2000, when they shared the stage with Horacio Salgan and the Nuevo Quinteto Real, and again in 2005 when the group took a class under the instruction of violinist Ramiro Gallo. — By Matthew Keever
