Some Houston bars may devote one or two nights a week to the dark art of karaoke, but Glitter Karaoke gives customers the opportunity to embarrass themselves nightly from Tuesday to Sunday. The spacious Midtown venue, across from popular sandwich shop Les Givrals and a handful of dance clubs, is Inner-Loop ground zero for bachelorette parties singing Dixie Chicks and Britney Spears cuts and birthday gatherings raging until last call. Watching guys try to impress their dates with off-key Creed and Beastie Boys renditions is worth all the off-key Elvis butcherings. Glitter welcomes everyone and even has a small food menu, but there's also a two-drink minimum to keep things... lively.
