Gindi Cafe - CLOSED

Gindi Cafe bills itself as a "New York-style bistro," but with its high-quality food at reasonable prices and expensive hours, it seems perfectly suited to Boulder. Breakfast items include "espresso eggs" -- steamed, not fried, and served as a sandwich with various add-ins, including Wisconsin Cheddar, nitrate-free bacon or ham, oven-roasted vegetables, sun-dried tomato spread with goat cheese, Za'atar spice and olive oil spread, or a chipotle aioli. For lunch, the sandwich offerings get more serious, with an impressive Cuban (pork, ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickle and housemade mustard spread). Dinner options include small plates, more sandwiches and entrees such as herb-roasted chicken and seared ahi tuna. Much more upscale than a traditional sandwich spot, Gindi Cafe also serves beer, wine and even a few mixed drinks.
