There's rarely a dull moment to be had at Giligin's, as this wacked-out island-themed watering hole specializes in serving up goofy good times, as well as gigantic 24-ounce beers, to its rowdy patrons. Be sure to check out the weekly goldfish races, karaoke four nights a week, or hang out with the always-hilarious Chuey the Rock 'n' Roll Midget, who works his own Lilliputian-sized bar in one corner. Plus, the kitchen stays open until 1:30 a.m., serving crab cakes, corn dogs, and other fried treats just in case you get the late-night munchies.
Modesty is not one of Crazy Angies better virtues. The charmingly foul-mouthed host of the weekly Goldfish Races at Giligins, 4251 North Winfield...

There's nothing quite like a college party. And just because you have graduated doesn't mean you can't still party like you're pledging for a frat. Giligin's has everything that made a college party f... More »
I didn't know dive bars were allowed in Scottsdale! That is EXACTLY what this place is. We went here the other night to see the midget bar and to drink on $5 pitchers of PBR. The midget bartender wasn't working, but there is a midget bar. Fun! They also have life size Jenga and Connect Four outside. The place was filled with bikers, and cheap drinks. On Tuesday night they have goldfish racing. Wednesday they do karaoke. There is always something going on at Giligan's!
There is plenty of parking around the bar. Martini Ranch is across the street if you want to get an idea of where this spot is. Oh, and try the pizza roll challenge. Only 144 pizza rolls to beat the challenge. I'm HUNGRY!
kind of an interesting place...
Giligins is always a blast! A dive bar in the heart of Old Town is ALWAYS refreshing. :) Who doesn't love a place with little people and goldfish races?!
Giligin's Bar is awesome for a lot of reasons, but there's one in particular: midget bar. This Old Town hot spot redefines the term mini-bar by placing a miniature version of a traditional bar to the right of the entrance -- miniature chairs, little-person bartenders (a.k.a. Chuey the Rock 'n' Roll Midget and his Lilliputian friend named Giant). It's adorable and is a good home base for bar-hoppers. There's even a life-size statue of Captain Morgan at the entrance, which makes the... More »
If you're tired of simply watching episodes of the retch-inducing reality show Fear Factor, see if you've got the gastronomic gumption to consume cow brains or cockroaches at this Scottsdale bar's extreme weekly event every Wednesday at 10 p.m. Courageous contestants spin a large wheel for points and attempt to solve frequently lurid word puzzles like "Finger My Furburger Until I Pee." If the roulette-style wheel lands on a few spaces with "Fear Factor" written on them, players can get even... More »
Talk about best-kept secrets: Most people don't know that the popular college party bar Giligin's has a second location -- in Thailand. The Pattaya version has the same owners, the same name and the same tropical theme and Corona beer specials, but with one distinctive addition: whores! Plenty of young Thai prostitutes who, according to the Giligin's Web site, www.giligins.com, will take care of "any, and I mean any, special or freaky needs" for less than $100 a day. The site features... More »
