Frank Lloyd Wright designed the circular, desert rose-hued matron of the Valley arts, incorporating oddly prominent ramps in his external plan to create a "welcoming" look of "outstretched arms." Special events and bookings are scheduled throughout the year at the 3,000-plus-capacity hall, erected on the site of a former women's athletic field.
