It’s game night, that nuclear family household tradition. Mom, Dad, Sally, and Billy sit down to play a game of Monopoly. All of that fake money helps Sally take her mind off not making the cheerleading squad, while Billy talks about the swell girl he’s thinking of going steady with. Sorry, but real life rarely pans out that way. Mom and Dad might be Steve and Dad, or Mom might be divorced and working three jobs just to keep the family north of the poverty line. That’s why Game Lords at Lords South Beach isn’t trying to fool you into the fantasy. Instead, play Twister, strip poker, beer pong, and classic board games Wednesday nights while getting drunk and suppressing traumatic family memories. Helmed by Veni Vidi Vici’s Ernesto Reyes and Erica Fickling (AKA Vanna Black), the night offers drink specials such as $2 specialty shots and $4 beers. And for those playing to win, there are prizes such as brunch at Cha Cha Rooster, bar tabs, and one-night stays at the hotel.
