Among the many barbecue restaurants in Koreatown, Gam Mi Oak stands out for a very specific specialty. What draws crowds and serious regulars is a soup called Sul Long Tang, which the menu describes as "snowy white ox-bone soup." It is indeed an opaque white and fortified with white rice, white noodles, and a few thin strips of brisket on top. At the table, add salt, pepper, and chopped scallions to this very bland and comforting, inexpensive delicacy.
