G.I. Jodi's markets itself as "Colorado's only true military-oriented bar and grill," and though we can't verify the veracity of that statement, it's true that G.I. Jodi's caters specially to the enlisted. Tucked away in a strip mall off Ken Caryl Avenue, the place is in an area that was hurting for a neighborhood bar before Jodi's came along, and it's filled the need admirably. The decor is a nod to all things military, including a silhouette of the famed Iwo Jima photograph circa WWII, and members of the military can enjoy $1.50 draft beers all day, every day, when they present a military ID. Jodi's also offers happy hours, service-industry nights, ladies' nights, men's nights, karaoke and beer pong; the bar-food menu includes a list of "M.R.E." burgers that (thankfully) taste a hell of a lot better than their namesakes.
