Description
Lawrence's Free State Brewery, the first legal brewery in the state of Kansas in more than 100 years, opened its doors in 1989 and has never seen a drop in business since. There are several reasons for this - the beer and food are top-notch, the service is consistently good, and its location (a renovated urban trolley station) is an attractive and open space. There is never a time when this place is not busy - people come here to eat or just hang out all night, taking advantage of seasonal beer specials and enjoying laid-back acoustic sets on weekends.
