Over the past couple of months, the Bakken Library and Museum has begun to offer new programs. One of these events is Free Second Saturday. A little like the Walker's Free First Saturdays, the daylong happening welcomes families in for free, themed activities. This month's installment, dubbed Nano Day, will invite kids to think big about things that are small, from little creatures in nature to tiny microchips in computers. Activities include storytelling, workshops, demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and UV bracelet making. In search of more grown-up events at the Bakken? Be on the lookout, as the museum hosted its first 18+ science celebration last month.
