The Triple Rock is always a great place to grab a beer and chow, with a good selection of booze and some of the best diner food in town. Portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and nearly everything on the menu can be made vegetarian- or vegan-friendly. A marked exception to the last point is Free Bacon Wednesdays. There's just no way to make fat-dripping strips of pig belly work for the veggies. But bacon is damned delicious despite its exploitation of our porcine brethren, and tonight at the Triple Rock (with a beverage purchase) you'll be treated to a basket heaped with a fistful of the stuff. To prepare for the event, the Triple Rock bakes massive quantities of bacon ahead of time, then heats it up once 9 o'clock rolls around; the deal lasts 'til 11, or while supplies last. 21+.
