Finally, a noodle stall that looks and feels like a real restaurant! Despite the cryptic name, Food Sing turns out hand-pulled Lanzhou wheat noodles almost on par with such Eldridge Street faves such as Super Taste and Sheng Wang. The broth, however, is even better; long boiled and tasting of sweet spices, almost like Vietnamese pho. Even though five other varieties are offered, stick with the hand-pulled, which are deposited in soups with a choice of a dozen main ingredients. Our favorites: the house special; featuring several kinds of beef, and the marrow-intensive pork bone noodles; often ordered by the Fujianese immigrants who frequent the place.
