Coffee, beer, no fear. Foam's spacious shop provides plenty of space to spread out, either for a long night of studying, or perhaps drinking over some choice entertainment in an intimate atmosphere. Nightly performances include everything from local and touring bands of all kinds to open mic night and live comedy. Belly up to Foam's counter for a coffee, tea, beer or cocktail, or get the best of both worlds with the house specialty "Kosmo" made with Kamora coffee liquer, vodka, espresso and cream over ice. Snacks include fresh baked cookies and mini pizzas, but whether or not you're hungry, make sure you come thirsty.
Hey stuff: Stop breaking! It's been an interesting week of recovery for RFT Music. Our website totally beefed it last weekend, our blog server gave itself some sort of boo-boo that still has a flimsy ... More »
Wow, whatta weekend! 4-20 still has us in a daze (didn't get a chance to make it down? Check out slideshows of Record Store Day and InFest2). Congrats everyone on a successful and eventful RSD weekend... More »

Honestly, if there were a way to see every single local musical event at Foam, we wouldn't have a problem with it. By day, this Cherokee Street space is a comfortable spot to enjoy a latte or a beer, with couches in front and a Pachinko collection hanging from the back walls. By night, it becomes a cozy concert venue. All ages are admitted, and the shows are free or cheap. Local acoustic acts like Dubb Nubb and Cassie Morgan & the Lonely Pine thrive here, but it's not so precious a space... More »
Once a week on Wednesdays, from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Ellen Cook and Langen Neubacher make everyone feel like an artist. It's not an easy feat at an open mic, but the two are as enthusiastic and encouraging as any hosts in the city, and their delightfully soul-baring contributions to every session are critically icebreaking. You might hear from a few of St. Louis' best -- and most reclusive -- artists, or you might just hear some new folks trying out their tentative songs, but... More »
There are some great pics of this place on YourLocalMessenger.com. The coffee is real strong and the beer cold. Worth checking out the pics.
