Bar? Check. All-American menu? Check. Bad-ass selection of beer on tap? Yes, over 20 to choose from! Flanny’s Bar & Grill is a middle-of-the-road concept that’s been upgraded with a fierce dedication to craft beer and delicious bar food. Starters include standards like spinach and artichoke dip and loaded potato skins, but for a small bite, diners can also pick from five different sliders: steak, BBQ chicken, cheeseburger, pulled pork, and beer-battered cod. The menu also includes New York strip steak, salmon, chicken pot pie, a Cajun shrimp flatbread, and grilled cheese and cheesesteak sandwiches. For dessert, there are deep-fried cheesecake chimichangas with a caramel drizzle. The South Tempe bar is also one of the best places in town to get your growler (64 oz. glass jug) filled with your favorite brew. Prices start at $12, and the draft selections rotate often so you’ll always find a hidden gem or a fast favorite in the mix.
