Description

Despite the kitschy mounted fish, beer koozies strung about like garland, and a jukebox that always seems to be playing the Chemical Brothers, its hard to hate a restaurant that serves something called a Joes Meal Deal: a full rack of award-winning baby-back ribs, caesar salad, choice of side, three garlic rolls, and soda, all for $18.99. Plus the place offers deals that spice up otherwise bland, weekday nights, such as Mexican Mondays, when patrons get a heaping plate of cheese-smothered loaded nachos for free with the purchase of a pitcher of beer after 10 p.m. (Wing It Wednesday is the same concept but with meaty hot wings.) Crisp curly fries accompany solid 10-ounce burgers (all $7.99) that come in varieties such as Caribbean (doused with barbecue sauce, melted cheddar cheese, and two strips of bacon) and Flanigans Burger (sautéed onions, mushrooms, and Swiss). If youre looking for a leaner option, try Lean Joes Green Salad ($6.99) with blackened tuna (add $4.99). Desserts are large and therefore recommended for those who have eaten lightly or have bottomless pits for stomachs. The Banzai Brownie ($6.99), a warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, is garnished with a whole Kit Kat bar.

no relation to the couch potato. idaho's best, served piping hot, with mounds of sour cream and butter piled on at your request.

Dirty Rice
sometimes called "cajun rice, " sometimes called "spicy rice, " always called delicious! a spicy blend of rice's that would make new orleans proud.

Black Beans & Rice
as authentic as carnival, cinco de mayo, and 8th street all together (what a traffic jam!) a generous serving of white rice, black beans, chopped onions, and mojo. this is definitely "que pasa!"

Cole Slaw
one half pound. home made fresh daily. this recipe was originally developed by "old king cole, " who ate nothing but this slaw, which, of course, explains his "merriness."

Garlic Rolls
a three roll, individual portion of our buttery, parmesan garlic rolls. "three's a crowd" does not apply here!

Chicken Philly
the same as above except substitute chicken for the beef (and feathers for the kite strings). this would be our #1 selling sandwich, except it was afraid to accept the recognition.

Blackened Tuna Hoagie
an outrageous combination of fresh tuna – lightly blackened, with red onions, green peppers and red peppers, blanketed with melted cheddar cheese. a “must” for philly lovers, or any lovers! also available grilled or mesquite.

Teriyaki Chicken Breast
