While its name leaves little up to the imagination, Fish Restaurant in the West Village provides a number of maritime culinary delights. A large raw bar provides several oyster options, and the famous special--6 oysters or clams with the house wine or a PBR--is a steal at $8. On the grill are salmon, cod fish, Chilean sea bass, and yellowfin tuna, among a wide variety of seafood options. Specialties include Lobster Sheperd's Pie, the Catfish Dinner, Surf & Turf, and King Crab Legs, to name a few. Owner Edward Taylor also happens to be the proprietor of one of the city's larger seafood distributors, which will come as no surprise to anyone who has experienced the fresh quality at Fish Restaurant. --Gabriel Herrera
