First Friday on Seventh Avenue Recommended

advertisement

  • Description

Roosevelt/Grand is the undisputed kahuna of the Phoenix arts, but the First Fridays concept has started to seep out of downtown like a stream of bubbling goo. One of the places the sticky stuff has landed is the long-suffering stretch of Seventh Avenue between Indian School and Montecito, which seems like it's finally hit critical mass. Check out the nascent scene at First Friday on Seventh Avenue. A variety of supercool storefronts will stay open late, including Lucky 15 Paper Arts, Clayface, iBloom, Melrose Pharmacy, Rust and Roses, the Fry Bread House, and Figs Home and Garden. There'll also be street vendors and live Latin reggae. Says Meghan Olesen of Lucky 15 and the Seventh Avenue Merchants Association, "[We're] hoping to change Seventh Avenue into the next hot spot in Phoenix."
