The menu is a compendium of commonplaces, most featuring olive oil and calculated to please the mainly female and mainly shopping crowd that floods F and O mealtimes. Much of the pristine food is totally on the money, from elegant cheese plates to carpaccios busy with extraneous ingredients to crostini to pastas to perfectly turned-out pastries. You can't go wrong with salads, either, such as the signature assemblage of figs, olives, tomatoes, and three kinds of cheeses in an apple-balsamic dressing. Skip the soups, though, which are thin and austere. Nothing better for dessert than the diminutive and perky fig tart.
probably the worst service i have ever received at a restaurant, capped off by the fact that they accused us of stealing their bic pens when we paid the bill and didn't apologize when we proved that their busboy had taken them
One of my fav places to eat in the city, they have a communal table which is really great if going with friends and want to meet new people. I recommend the mixed grill plate and the Cucumber martini's. They pare all their dishes with different olive oils. I've even had an ice cream with olive oil blended in it!
