If you feel right at home at this Wedgwood pub, no wonder: It's a converted house covered with wood thatch, with worn wood tables giving it that olde-towne atmosphere and Deadheads setting its low-key tone. Order a turkey and cranberry chutney sandwich, the Firehouse #40 nachos, or the popular hand-tossed pizza, which takes forever to arrive but is worth the wait. Several nights per week, you will find live music (usually of the folk and/or bluegrass variety) on Mondays, a damn fine open mic night, and always a myriad microbrews, a nice mid-brow selection of wines, and a quaint outdoor seating area.
This is where you wan to go if you like to relax in an informal setting and drink good beer at a reasonable price. The outside garden seating is a great place to spend some time. The Fiddler's Inn reminds me of the kind of bars that I used to hang out in when I traveled a lot for snowboarding. I also love the food here. They have great pizzas, artichoke dip, and nachos.
