Description

The Famous Dave's chain isn't much older than the Stapleton neighborhood, having gotten its start in Wisconsin back in 1994. But this down-home rustic spot looks like it's been here forever, serving generations of new urbanists burgers, chicken, fish, salads, apps and, most important, St. Louis-style spareribs, hickory-smoked and slathered with the Rich & Sassy sauce created by Dave Anderson, the company's founder, from a secret recipe he won't even reveal to his mother. Although there are now close to 200 Famous Dave's outposts across the country, each restaurant has its own personality. The Stapleton Dave's is as sassy as that special sauce, a real neighborhood spot that caters to families, softball groups, even Stapleton parents on their rare date nights.
