With a large patio and huge, wood-accented interior, Fadó feels as big as Dublin. The cheeky Irish pub was fashioned by carpenters from the Emerald Isle, and its music calendar is thoroughly green, with performances from acoustic and Celtic groups, and rock bands on the weekends. Lining the boulevard leading to Coors Field, Fadó is popular with the sports crowd and LoDo denizens looking for a little culture, however contrived. Go for the great Guinness pour and the chummy atmosphere of this funky Irish pub; the Disney-meets-Stonehenge setting, the Celtic music and the noisy, friendly ambience make for a fun night on the town.

THis is one of my favorite places to go to in CO. They have live bands come in during the weekends so it gets beyond packed. During the week, I believe on tuesdays, they have a troop of musicians play some irish medleys. There are hardly ever people during the week so your are guaranteed a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Make sure to strike up a comversation with th etroop and they will make sure to play something for you, bring requests. Also, the grub is delicious.
Great atmosphere
Now that the wife is gone and the kids are around only half the time, these guys can spend time -- and money -- on whatever they want. And what they want is to take themselves out to the ballgame, then over to Fadó for a pint o' Guinness and other belly-enhancing carbos such as mashed potatoes in gravy and fat, greasy sausages. After day games, Fadó's deck is the perfect place to let that belly hang out while ogling twenty-somethings in skimpy attire. Food of choice: the Ceili... More »
