The EMP is pretty cool! I usually end up there about once per year and this year I went to the big NYE bash! It was fun, albeit crowded, but that was sort of the point for me this NYE...To be out with everyone else who was having a good time! The EMP is fun, though museum prices are way too expensive in my opinion. But I'm sure it's very costly to run, so enjoy it periodically!

Love the EMP and the Sci Fi museum even more. I went by myself while killing time on a family trip. The EMP has a lot of hands on music exhibits set up in a way that's accessible for people with no music background. The Sci Fi museum was filled with memorabilia and props and all sorts of interesting tidbits from science fiction books and movies.
