I have never been to the Eve lounge, but if you happen across the Pacific Standard Time venue, take my advice and GO TO IT!! This venue used to be at Levende Lounge @ 1701 Mission St, but DJ Sake is on point when he is spinning hip-hop, world music, Reggae, a little Michael Jackson or even Prince all in one set. When he's mixing, he takes you thru time if you will; from the latest track from Hip-Hop artists like Common, Kanye West and the like, all the way back to "I Got 5 On it" - Luniz or even further back than that with "I'm Looking at the Front Door" - Main Source, and back again. If some of these name sound familiar to you, then you gotta go to this venue, if they dont then go and get re-educated on the history of your Hip-Hop, make it mandatory.
