Nestled off the main Westheimer drag, the almost-hidden Etro Lounge couldn't find a better place to blend into the area's surly bar scene. When the swells at Anvil next door just rub your rhubarb the wrong way and the kids across the street at Boondocks aren't doing it for you, one can always duck over here. The sounds here range from New Wave and the odd spooky dance track, not too terribly far removed from what you would hear at on any given night at Numbers a few blocks down the street. The two-level haunt offers plenty of nooks and crannies perfect for conversation and other adult stuff. Drinks come stiff and reasonably priced, and you can always expect the patio to be full of grown-up Goth boys and girls getting their nicotine fix.
