Description

The name and ownership of this swanky club space have changed over the years: it started out as Prince's own Glam Slam, then had a long run as the Quest before being reinvented as Epic in 2007. The club's vibrant, brightly-colored decor and pop-art futurism -- not to mention its elaborate sound system -- complement the repertoire's heavy emphasis on pop, hip hop and electronic dance shows.

If you want to see a hip-hop purist's brow furrow, just bring up Waka Flocka Flame. Last year's Flockaveli was a cult smash among rap bloggers, and the Georgia star proved resiliently memetic; even PETA wanted him to pose for ads. Still, lingering... More »

There aren't many acts that can bridge the gap between Rock the Bells and the Gathering of the Juggalos, but Tech N9ne is not your average rapper. He looks like an extra from Mortal Kombat, his flow is so fast it seems like his tongue has been bio... More »
