On paper, this place has it all, covering the totality of Italian cuisine like foam on a glass of beer: formaggi, salumi, sustainable crudo, assaggini (small snacks), fritti (fried artichokes, anchovies), antipasti, pizza (pizzi?), primi, secondi, y contorni. Phew! Much of the output is quite good, including homemade pancetta, smoky grilled sardines, and wine-braised local rabbit (Did they catch it in Central Park?), but sometimes the kitchen can"t keep up with such a catalogic approach to Italian cuisine, and one or two of the dishes you order may be mal-executed, like our guanciale pizza with pecorino cream, which arrived undercooked. Still, the place is gorgeous and romantic, making it a great date spot.
