It's difficult not to be surprised by this swank establishment, located in the hotel above the Miccosukee casino -- either by the fine steak house fare and solicitous service, or by the prices. Make no mistake: The Everglades location does not preclude a hefty check at the end of the meal, whether you order filet mignon or "native" cuisine such as venison tenderloin. Check out the buffalo steak for a less costly alternative to the porterhouse, and baked Florida grouper as a local option instead of Maryland lump crabcakes.
