Tourists can’t get enough of this Americana-drenched Times Square diner. The 1950s theme is everywhere, from the red booths and vintage posters to the waitresses’ hoop skirts. The waitstaff here double as singers, belting out pop hits from the last couple of decades, all while customers clap and cheer along. The menu is as big as the two-story dining room, spanning a wide swath of American comfort food classics, from high-piled Reuben sandwiches and Philly cheesesteaks to bacon-topped burgers and plates of gravy-covered meatloaf. There is, of course, a kids’ menu, filled with things like mini-burgers, spaghetti and chicken fingers, as well as a long list of desserts including ice cream shakes, strawberry shortcake and homemade ice cream. Tour groups can sign up for inclusive packages that include an appetizer, entrée, dessert and beverage for each person.—Keith Wagstaff
