Event Review: To Begin the World Over Again: The Life of Thomas Paine
I've seen this play numerous times nationwide and each time the audience is astounded, inspired and delighted. I highly recommend this play and Ian Ruskin's performance.
Event Review: From Wharf Rats to Lords of the Docks: the Life and Times of Harry Bridges
I've seen this play many times, and can't wait to see it again. Ian Ruskin, and English actor trained at RADA, is known for his portrayal of Harry Bridges, so much so that Haskell Wexler filmed him in the role at the Warner Grand. That film has been on PBS. Ruskin has never had a run of this show in Los Angeles for the general public. It's about time! Whenever I've seen it I've left inspired, and have had excellent conversations with other audience members and those who go with me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this play. Just Go!!!!

In this first-rate staging of Tennessee Williams' rarely produced drama Baby Doll, Tony Gatto turns in a stellar performance as Archie Lee Meighan, the owner of a broken-down cotton gin in Tiger Tail, Miss., whose luscious 19-year-old bride, Baby... More »
