Description

There's always a fiesta at El Toreador. Chile peppers, bird cages, airplanes, and Mexican flags not only decorate the walls, but fill every nook and cranny of this family-friendly Mexican joint with a festive spirit. And it's not all show. We love the Maria Félix pinups and the assortment of 56 Latin American beers, but it's the heaping plates of plump, garlicky, Veracruz-style shrimp with peppery grilled onions that we rave about. if you ever happen to be in West Portal and are in the mood for some Mexican food- you cant miss this place. It's probably the most colorful restaurant in SF! They're burritos are so good and the toastada salad is amazing. You have to try the Sangria as well- you wont be disappointed.
