El Tamarindo in Deerfield Beach doesn’t have a coal-fired oven like its sister in Hallandale or panini’s like their Fort Lauderdale store. But they have Italian and Mexican fare with the freshest ingredients. Start with the homemade beef soup ($4/cup) or even the grilled chicken wings for $10. Make sure to get the homemade sauce – jalapenos with seeds, onions and carrots. If you want to skip to your main course, make sure it’s a specialty pizza, like the El Tamarindo pie made with spinach, goat cheese and sundried tomatoes ($19 for a large).
