When the weather’s hot almost year-round, adding a swimming pool to a bar makes perfect sense. That’s exactly what the proprietors of Geisha A Go Go and Spanish Fly thought when they opened El Santo Cantina y Mas in Scottsdale. The spot features a 2,800 sq. ft. pool, a plethora of chic VIP cabanas, a big waterfall, two separate bars, and waitresses sporting teeny-tiny bikinis. After all that splashing around, you’re sure to have a hunger than an ice cold beer can’t fix. Luckily the bar serves Baja-style street food, like tacos and quesadillas. Check it out on a lazy Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for some Sol Therapy with tasty brunch, bottomless mimosas, poolside beats, and of course more bikinis. If you can’t drown your sorrows on Sunday, perk yourself up from 3 to 7 p.m. every other day of the week for half-priced appetizers and two-for-one drinks.
After a long night of partying with a bottle of Jack and sixteen of your favorite friends, the last thing you need to be doing on Sunday is resting...

In Scottsdale, theme bars are king. The city's nightlife landscape overflows with rustic cowboy saloons, greasy rock joints, kitschy island bars, and even an effin' dance club inspired by a bank. So it's not surprising in the least that Spanish Fly, a Mexican beach bar with a pool on the premises, would be a hit. The concept proved so successful that its proprietors (who also own such theme eateries as Geisha A Go Go and Stingray Sushi) opened a similar swimming spot called El Santo in North... More »
