El Rico Dicho Menuderia Y Taqueria is a quirky Mexican restaurant that pays tribute to El Chapulín Colorado (The Red Grasshopper), a Spanish television series that parodied superheroes, with colorful murals in the kitschy dining room. But while the decor may be cartoonish, the kitchen turns out serious Mexican fare: burritos (the breakfast burritos are a bargain), menudo, street tacos, gorditas, huaraches and tortas, with a special emphasis on carne seca, a rare treat in Denver. The thin triangles of dried meat can be ordered solo with wedges of lime and packets of Tapatío hot sauce, or shaved and stuffed into burritos.
