Description

It's hard to miss the brightly colored exterior of this tiny, hole-in- the-wall Mexican dive, where little English is spoken and authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites abound. Two green salsas, a cilantro cream and a tomatillo version, let you know that things are spiced for Mexican tastes. Breakfast starts with chilaquiles or, better yet, machacado (shredded beef). Other dishes to try: soup with vermicelli, the carnitas platter, asado de puerco, fried catfish, tres leches and flan. Homemade tamales are available for takeout.
