Description

Delicious Cuban and Puerto Rican specialties are the draw at this snug hole-in-the-wall Mission District restaurant, whose menu seems larger than the space it's served in. We love the roast pork, whether served in sandwiches or as a plate with rice and beans. Other specialties at El Nuevo Frutilandia include ropa vieja, carne guisada (a Puerto Rican beef stew), and seafood dishes such as fried calamari and prawns in lemon and garlic sauce. Fresh batidos (milkshakes) and jugos de frutas (fruit juices) are made with seasonal fruit.
