Description

This classic Italian restaurant has been serving pasta in Tribeca for more than a quarter century. Walking in here is like stepping through a time warp; rich mahogany booths line the walls, with thick drapes, white tablecloths, tile floors and vintage prints giving it that turn-of-the-century feel. The menu has a similarly old-school feel, with handmade pastas like the gnocchi with pesto, pappardelle with ricotta cheese and linguini pescatore, along with entrees like a 16 oz. grilled shell steak, shrimp grilled with herbs and garlic, and veal stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella in a mushroom sauce. The ancient-looking bar is a good place to perch and drink a cocktail or something from the all-Italian wine list. Every Friday and Saturday between 7pm and 11pm, entertainment comes in the form of a pianist who plays in the bar. Although there is no strict dress code, the older crowd here usually likes to dress up for dinner.—Keith Wagstaff

    Its a Sister restaurant of Campagnola.. Food is off the charts and the service is great!
