This muscular steakhouse with huge mesquite grills features fair prime steaks at great prices.
This is the best Thai restaurant in Houston, as far as I can tell. I've been eating there on and off for ten years, and the food and service are consistently good. Try the green curry and ask for extra spicy!
Saying 'great Thai food' would be the first impulse; but that's a cliche by now. More interesting is the paradoxical nature of this place. It's not far from the Univ of Houston's School of Hotel & Restaurant Management and yet it breaks every rule the students are paying dearly to learn. Understaffed, low ambience, least number of hours open, customers aren't always right, no substitutions...it goes on and on...like the cheeburger skit on SNL. Yet due largely to the un-dumbed-down food, this place has continues to rock at lunch and dinner. BYOB and carefully observe the hours of operation: OR YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
