Description

Roasted cocoa stout? Yes, please. A bitter, hoppy Category 4 IPA? You bet. If you're sick of the bar scene, Due South Brewery in Boynton Beach is a nice change of pace. Due South is a 15,000-square-foot facility that brews beer onsite and distributes to more than 150 bars and restaurants across South Florida. The sweet spot is in the deceivingly simple-looking tap room -- little more than vacant warehouse space with a few tables. Because it is a distributing brewery, laws prevent it from having a restaurant and kitchen. The brewery gets around this hassle by providing customers with a list of nearby places where you can grab Chinese takeout, a sandwich, or tacos. That ensures you'll hang around for – and maybe after -- happy hour Tuesday through Friday ($1 off beers from 4 to 6 p.m.).

Best thing about this place for me is I could walk home if I had to. Yes, its a cool place. A brewery in a wharehouse. Not so cool in August. Mike's beers for the most part are pretty good and a couple are really good. Like the Red Reef Ale... wonder when they will have that one again. I like the food trucks. Overall a fun place !!! If I might offer one small critique slightly negative in nature. I just don't get a warm fuzzy feeling from the staff, just not that friendly or in a big hurry to sell Mike's beer. Which is why I enjoy Tequesta Brewing Co. so much better. I just wish the crew at Due South acted like they enjoyed working there, maybe they don't. Can't imagine why not.

So much fun! Great beer and a cool, laid back atmosphere. It's like hanging out on a friends' back porch. They've even got cornhole. Plus you're right there next to all the brewing equipment. No food here, so take you own or you can order delivery. They've got food trucks on Fri & Sat. Hard to find. Look for the Sherwin Williams and pull around back, drive by all the marble, and you'll find this hidden craft beer oasis.
