Dub music is the spawn of early instrumental reggae that was built on reverb and echoes. Since its birth, dub has evolved in leaps and bounds, making its popularity grow many fans of various musical forms. A lot of reggae singles still offer instrumentals on their "B-sides" and that's what DJs or "sound systems" use to work on. Mixing the separate entities of a musical tracks and remixing them into a new set has become a popular process even outside of reggae and can be found in a variety of genres including hip-hop versus metal mash-ups. And that's what Dub'd Out is all about. Reggae, ska, punk, surf rock all rub-a-dub-dub together in seamless fashion. Check out this free show featuring the sounds of Crazy Foolz, Stray Bomb, and similar local and regional acts every Wednesday at Delux. The show starts around 9 p.m., but you can call 561-279-4792 for exact start times and weekly appearances.
