With its second-floor balcony, candlelit bar, and dazzling chandeliers dripping from the ceiling, the newer Dosa outpost dwarfs the original. The restaurant recasts South Indian street food as small plates ideal for accompanying cocktails, and is reliably tasty: yogurt-marinated Chennai chicken, crisp and ruddy; a lovely mung sprout salad; and, of course, a variety of dosas, the large, lentil-rice crepes stuffed with paneer or spiced potatoes. While meat dishes are on the menu, Dosa is very vegetarian-friendly.
