There are a lot of reasons to stop into Dominguez Family Restaurant, from the bottomless chips and salsa served toasty warm to the always-quick service and friendly atmosphere. But principal on the list are the tacos. Tacos aren't a complicated thing, if done in traditional Mexican style-two corn tortillas, cilantro, onion, a meat of choice, and a slice of lime are the only ingredients required-but like a finely mixed drink, there's something greater than the sum of the parts in the way Dominguez puts theirs together. Some of the more exotic ingredients in the Lake Street taquerias, like tripe and tongue, aren't available, but Dominguez makes up for the lack of selection with flavor. We especially recommend the shrimp tacos: Cooked to perfection, the shrimp take on a deep, meaty flavor that combines scrumptiously with the soft bite of cilantro.

I bought a Restaurant.com certificate to go to this place. The small print says the the certificate is valid from one year of the purchase. The waitress and manager said they don't take them anymore. These cost money on Restaurant.com, and they were rude and wouldn't accept it. I will not go there again.
