Description

Some of the best Mexican food anywhere is being served in the elegant rooms and on the pleasant, flower-lined patio of this unassuming storefront restaurant resting on a quiet block in Oakland. Using Niman Ranch meat and seasonal, organic produce, the kitchen turns out an array of wonderful dishes -- we love the sopa de lima (rich chicken soup), quesadillas, carnitas, and amazing corn pudding. There's an excellent selection of wines, beers, mezcals, and tequilas, but we especially enjoy the specialty cocktails.
