Description

A neighborhood bar with all the trappings, Dizzy's is a down-to-earth drinking den where kicking back starts with a song -- namely, Tom Waits on the jukebox. A jar of pickled eggs and a vintage cigarette machine watch over a relaxed scene, where plaques of pool and dart league proficiencies line the walls and pickup trucks fill the parking lot. Join old-school locals as they share the day's doings or jostle for a TV remote, rack 'em up for free on Sunday nights, or engage electronically on the Golden Tee and Silver Strike games. Along with daily drink specials like Bloody Mary's for $3 on Fridays and $2.25 PBR every day, donning Dizzy's apparel on Tuesdays (everything from jerseys and tank tops to ball caps and fleece pants with the logo emblazoned across the backside) gets you 50 cents off drinks and allows everyone to know that when you go drinking, you go drinking at Dizzy's.

Great little neighborhood dive bar with 4 well-kept coin-op pool tables and a wall-mounted karaoke machine. Dizzy's holds true to the universal rule of dive bars - if there's a Schlitz sign out front, it's worth stopping in.

I've been to Dizzy's a few times before because I live in close proximity to it. They have two pool tables in ok condition and two electronic dart sets (of which last time I checked one wasn't working properly). The crowd seems older usually and the small televisions they have behind the bar are usually playing sports. Drink costs are pretty reasonable. The bartenders are hit or miss. I had one I loved who was amiable, sociable, etc., and another who, when I ordered mixed drinks, told me she doesn't like making mixed drinks and prefers to just pop a cap off of a beer if she can help it. You probably shouldn't have become a bartender then. Anyway check it out if you live local and don't want to drive (far) otherwise it's probably not worth your time.
